Los Angeles, CA- (June 17, 2004)- This summer The Hellbillys will take psychobilly to the next level when Split Seven Records release Blood Trilogy Volume II on July 15, 2004. This CD will combine a harder psycho sound with a mixture of punk rock and a dash of metal, it includes cover art from Pushead whose has done work for Metallica, The Misfits, and many others.
The Hellbillys have been a mainstay of the San Francisco Bay Area since 1989. They?ve released several albums and have appeared on countless punk and psychobilly compilations. The Hellbillys consists of founding members Scary (VOX), Rockn Rick (Doghouse Bass), Dan Watson (Guitar) and J.J. Jenkins (Drums).
In 2001, The Hellbillys? released Blood Trilogy: Volume I and it was said to be ?the most extreme of psychobilly records.? According to AMG, ?The Hellibillys slicked-back hair, doghouse bass, and large-bodied guitar may prepare one for rockabilly, but they take their diabolical theme and sound closer to the misfits and G.B.H. than the stray cats.?
For the last 15 years, The Hellbillys? hard work, intense live shows and unique songwriting style, has earned them the reputation of being America?s best psychobilly act along with influencing many of today?s psychobilly bands. Mutant Renegade Zine calls The Hellbillys ?Punkabilly to the Max!?
