Dark, psychotic, and brutal, the Salt Lake City-based Metallic Horror Psychobilly trio, the Pagan Dead, mix elements of rockabilly, psychobilly, punk, metal, and other influences. With eerie metallic guitar, frantic slap double bass, pounding death-beat drums, and harsh violent vocals, the Pagan Dead play a style of music that is powerful and disturbing.
Originating in the winter of 2000, the Pagan Dead have performed several times in the Salt Lake City area, including an appearance at the Dark Arts Festival in 2003, and have opened for the international acts Demented Are Go and the Nekromantix.
In July 2002 four songs that were recorded at Fast Forward studio in Sandy Utah earlier that year were released by USA's first all-psychobilly label GraveRockers Union Wreckords on the split CD entitled "Funeral March" which also included the Finland-based band the Toxocaras.
In 2003 the Pagan Dead recorded their debut full-length CD entitled
MORS IANVA VIT? ET VITA IANVA MORTIS. Orginally self-released by the band, it is out now on PSYCHOBILLY*US Label and exclusively distributed
by Hairball8 Records. |
