In June of 2003 The Monolith Monsters blasted onto planet Earth, bringing you loudmouth perverted psychobilly ! When Leo, formerly with photon torpedoes met Rodney trough the almighty internet they didn't let geographical distance get in the way of forming a brand new dutch psychobilly band. With persistence they endeavoured to find the right upright bass player to complete the line up. It wasn't until they witnessed on the dutch TV program: "this is how you fuck !" the right sick puppy for the job. As Rienkkstein made an appearance on this show demonstrating the almighty RoboSuck, they knew straight away this kid had balls and perseverance to stick it out with them in their adventures to come. Aint no psychobilly without a rockabilly touch according to the Monolith Monsters, coming from various backgrounds they aim to include a multitude of influences into their songs. Influences ranging from 80's psychobilly, surf, rockabilly and motorhead all multiplied by 1000 in energy! After Leo made the big trip back to the homeland, coming from Boston based Photon Torpedoes, it wasn't until long that he realized his energies should be directed back into a new psychobilly three piece. With Monolith Monsters he brings his ripping roaring mutilated gretsch to life as a bloody vampire would raise a dead corpse for those last drops of blood. Twisted, sick and often insinuating lyrics roar from his throat completing the Monolith Monsters sound of murder massacre and mayhem. Yendor, emerged from old time dutch psychobilly band RipTide bringing the Monolith Monsters his ripping pounding heavy rhythms. Using his big toms to the max to drive the Monolith Monsters songs to the very edge of existence like a bulldozer shoving over a block of houses. RienkkStein slaps out pounding rhythms emerging from rockabilly hell. Coming from Mr Whizz and the country cassanovas, he exploded with his bass in the band while transforming to become a Monolith Monster. 2003 marks the year the Monolith Monsters exploded onto the European psychobilly scene with a bang not to be forgotten!
