Luna Vegas - From the Traveling Minstrels of Doom

Track listing:

1-Fungal Stilts
2-Shamen of Oge
3-Mr Wong
4-Queen of Sin
5-Fortune Box
6-Sailor Clown

I really like this band, so when I saw they had a new mini album out, I didn't let my drawers touch my ass before I bought it. The main short coming of this album, in my opinion, is that it is a mini album, damnit. It is over too soon and left me wanting more. I like all six songs on this album and it has a nice flow when listening to it as a complete record. It's clear and twangy with a sprinkle of creepy. Just the way I like it. There's a consistency that runs through the sound these guys have, without getting redundant, but no two songs sound quite exactly alike either. I like the tempo changes within the songs, keeps things interesting without disrupting the way they slide on by while you're listening. Very nice composition and interplay between all the instruments ... I really like the way this stuff sounds. My favorite tracks off this album are:

Fungal Stilts
Shamen of Oge
Queen of Sin

The album starts off great, flows nice ... and is over before you know it. I'm gonna guess that if you like the Magnetix or Epileptic Hillbillys, you're probably gonna dig this too. I would definitely recommend adding this to you're music collection. Out of a scale of 10 ... I'd rate it 8.75. On top of that, it has lovely cover art. Nice. Keep it coming.

Nice write up, Chuckie. Just saw that Luna Vegas have all their tracks on YouTube to sample prior to picking up the hard copies. Their channel is #LunaVegas (yes, with the leading hashtag)
