Lucky Devils A Mental Journey
by wildhank

'A Mental Journey' are offering Lille-based THE LUCKY DEVILS with their 5th studio album. The classic three-piece has become one of the well-established brands of the Psychobilly cosmos with trademark guitaring, fat rhythm section, catchy song-writing, distinctive sleeve designs and disguising songs from other genres to make them Psycho rockin'. Their 2012 release is no exception here, and if anything it will just cement their reputation as one of the more creative and more original outfits on the current rockin' scene. This twelve-track brain trip is packed with potential dance floor fillers, foot stompers, well-written originals and four completely rearranged cover versions from the likes of X-Ray Spex, Break Machine and Chris Isaak.
Songs like You're Bad, Caroline, I'm A Poseur, Nightmares,Blue Hotel and Hinnom get to the heart of this Crazy Love release. What else? Strong buy, this is hot stuff!
