Silver Bullet by Manic Pistoleros starts out with Let's Get Manic, a song that seems to be a stomping party anthem a bit reminiscent of the heyday of punk rock. Moving into 16 Miles From Mars they shift into a more classic rockabilly feel that almost reminds me of Rumble In Brighton from Stray Cats.
As the album progresses, they keep a pretty consistent sound without having any of the songs sounding the same. These guys obviously aren’t the punk rock with an upright that many of today’s so called psychobillies fall into, yet at the same time they are not clones of the 80’s sound. They have their own sound, a blend of some good influences and do a good job of playing it. At points I hear similarities to Gutter Demons or Goddamn Gallows, not necessarily in sound, more in feel.
Over all, good driving bass rhythms, good guitar work and clean without being too clean sound, as I know they have another album, I definitely have to pick that one up too.
Stand out track for me was Something Strange, as I sit here listening while I am typing this I am having a hard time sitting still in my chair. Good fun energy that keeps me moving. |

Nice review Dan, I meant to write one when I picked it up ages ago but I'm lazy 
I hope more people are motivated to get ahold of their stuff!
Unfortunately, they aren't going to be together much longer. They support Mad Sin in November and then that's it...
But maybe if more people internationally show interest they can be persuaded to keep going one day |

Cheers for the review! I like the reference to the gutter demons and stray cats also!! two great bands.
Yeah unfortunately members are leaving the band and novemeber will be our last show. I'm still keen to keep going though..Maybe I can change there minds!! who knows. cheers |

| Thanks, Yeah its really dissappointing after building up a good following over here and just when things are starting to happen it all ends!! Oh well thats bands i guess. Who knows what the future will bring. cheers |
