I have yet to attend a festival, what's the review for those who have attended in the past?

haven't seen the official line-up yet, but seeing last years line-up I may make the trip this year.

Don't recall what the line up is this year but last I saw it looked like a mostly punk lineup. I think Tony has had some involvement in the event in the past and may be able to provide some feedback on the event. Could be wrong there. I always drink a lot when I talk to him.

Hmm... ive been to the past two Ink N Iron festivals on PsychoSundays only, and those have been pretty good. the first year had Frenzy and Batmobile as the main attractions i think, which was really cool; i had a chance to talk to Steve Whitehouse and experiencehis sense of humor with his bandmates. batmobile guys were really cool too, we took pictures with all of them before they played & they were really nice guys as well. I cant say much about the other bands, but Frenzy was amazing. Batmobile felt a bit more distorted than what i was used to, but their classics were amazing as well. It ended fairly early because it was Sunday, and it all felt worth the 16 bux i paid.

The 2nd year was a bit more disappointing since Mad Sin didnt end up playing. Klingonz and Restless were good enough either way. The Klingz got it rowdy and i became a big fan of Restless that night rather than just being an occasional listener. That night was pretty good too, and well worth the money as well.

This year the line-up is nowhere near as psycho-based as years before. With a huge promoter for the scene hiding away cuz of the ricochets incident, Ink N Iron was a beacon of hope for a good psycho gig. It seems far more Punk-oriented this year, which kinda sucks for me since the only thing i liked was the psycho night which doesnt exist anymore. The only psycho band i recall on the flyer is Batmobile, which is still pretty good, except for the fact that i saw a rumored lineup which has them playing really early, which kinda demeans their great musicianship from my point of view. Hopefully they do headline the night, and if they add 1 more big psycho band i might drop by this year.

Its a good environment noetheless, and if you can pass off as a 16 year old or buy the 16 year old tickets, you save yourself around 20 bux! Wink

THE LINE UP IS THE MOST ECLECTIC I'VE SEEN YET. IT HAS THE FOLLOWING...

THE PALADINS (ONLY USA APPEARANCE 2011)
13 CATS (W/ TIM POLECAT, SLIM JIM, DANNY B HARVEY AND SMUTTY SMITH)
BATMOBILE
RESTLESS
CREEPSHOW
COLD BLUE REBELS
GAMBLERS MARK
THE BUZZCOCKS
THE SONICS
ANTI-FLAG
FISHBONE
DETROIT COBRAS
THE SKATALITES
TURBO AC'S
AND LOADS MORE.

ITS A REAL MIX-UP THIS YEAR AND LOOKS AWESOME. JUNE 10, 11 AND 12TH. REALLY CHEAP WHEN COMPARED WITH SOME OF THE OTHER STUFF OUT THERE. I MAY GO FOR ALL THREE DAYS THIS TIME.
