Jokes aside, the whole "Pin Up" thing just annoys the fuck out of me. It seems that damn near every girl with "curves" (generally means fat) is a "burlesque dancer" and every other is a "pinup model". Isn't pinup supposed to be a specific style? Not one to be too much a stick in the mud about the whole vintage or retro or whatever bullshit, but otherwise isn't it just some pictures of some girl dressed (or undressed) provocatively? How is that different than just modeling or just some tarted up attention whore who likes getting her picture taken?
No offense intended to the girls or photogs who actually do serious pinup work but I am a bit tired of the silly cliche throngs calling themselves something they are not, usually mostly with some variation of the same names.
And yes I do have pictures. |
