Wasn't really sure what the most appropiate section was to post this topic, since it's not "psycho", but it's not just a totally random topic either.

I was just curious as to whether or not any of you have attended this before, and also wondering if anyone is going this year? I'm planning on going with two others. I've never been to Vegas, so it should be pretty fun.

As I said, if this in an inappropriate section, let me know.

Went to VLV thois year and going again next year, one word sums it up really.........AMAZING!!!!!

Best festival iv ever been two, loads of rockabilly/psychobilly going on round other parts of vegas over the weekend too, Guana Batz headlined a psychobilly night on the strip this year and j cash tributes going on at Hard Rock and other places.

At the orleans where vlv takes place, bands on 24 hours a day plus burlesque shows, pool parties, jive contests and the shopping stalls are brill.

Cant wait for next years

Well it's not exactly a review, is it?
Could have just put it in 'Live' Razz

To answer his question, yes I've been. Went the first three years I think. It's wank now, I wouldn't bother. Just a big fashion show and who can wear the bigger hair flowers. If you want a good one to attend. The Rockabilly Rebel Weekend in Indiana is VERY good and loads of fun. Dunno if it's still going, it was as of a few years ago. But far better. Been to loads of them, always a fab time.

VLV are fantastic, Sorry Boob, but something about Vegas and Rockabilly are just perfect, and as stated if you get too rockabilly'd out there are psychobilly shows and punk shows in other venues around town. The car show is the biggest I've ever seen and some amazing rides and I dont even care about cars usually. It's Vegas, 24 hour city with no alcohol cut off.

bollocks on the fashion snobs..who cares about them anyway..there are so many down to earth cool people who just love the music and being in the company of thousands of other rockabilly music lovers its just awesome!!

Good times!

Very Happy

I'm really not surprised with the fashion comment, as I'm sure that's the way it will be; however, as Tony said, there's really just something about the two that go so well. I am beyond excited to attend!
The girlfriend and I will be in Vegas for a week, so any other venues or entertainment suggestions of any kind will help out. My guess is we'll probably only go two out of the four days the Fest is on for, for a few hours each time. There's so much else to do in Vegas, really don't wanna waste all our time in one spot.

We also have an extra ticket for the entire weekend we need to get rid of now that our other friend has decided to cancel. Half price to anyone interested! Wink
(Yes, I realize I'm not in the buying/ selling section.)

I know I'm probably SOL, but do you by any chance still have that ticket?

Right on! Did you get to catch set from either Ray Campi or The Quaranteds?

This last poster was another copy/paste bot. They grabbed a chunk of a post further up the thread from 2010.
