If you like this band you'll know what to expect from the Canadian lunatics , if not.....why not?, what's not to like?, they've been playing their own brand of Psychobilly/Rockabilly/Surf for a long time now!.
It kicks off with love song 'Mummified baby' which is a mid paced rocker, next up is 'Bones keep a rumblin' ' a slow 'creepy' tongue firmly in cheek walk through all the Psychobilly cliches.
'Tailfeather shake' is another mid paced rocker which is followed by surf instrumental 'Killer bee' , next up is 'Hank's Cadillac' a country styled tale of revenge!, 'Elevator' is a slowish,Crampsy song about.....taking the elevator , 'Goin' down to Memphis' is next and is about....well, going down to Memphis to have some fun and is another good rocker.
'Motoloco' is a distorted track you can punch your mates to....if you want to that is, it's another surf styled track complete with trumpet! & chugs along at a good pace.
'Rocket to the moon' is next and is a country styled story about space travel and has a 50's style novelty vibe to it imo , 'Apache' is a rather well known instrumental & is done really well, 'Peggy suicide' has a heavier sound to it than any of the earlier tracks & is hard to class...in a good way, 'Psychocat' is an old song, can't remember which of their other albums it's on though & last, but not least is 'Kitty's comet' which is a good stomping instrumental.
All in all a good release, not my favourite Deadcats album, but it is a a good one & a good place to start if you have nothing else by them.
