PALAVAS SURFERS/PALAVAS SURFERS vinyl ep 8.6 Palavas Surfers is a French surf brock band from Montpellier. This 4 track ep is presented in blue vinyl and provides a tiny example of their talent. The music can be compared to latin bands like Surfin Carambas or Los Esquizitos. The artwork is brilliant, the presentation is flawless. This is not an instrumental release, so you can pretty much tell where they are from. Even though they can sound a little punky at times, they deliver great tunes.Check out the track Big sandy!

WASHINGTON DEAD CATS/ANTI BEST OF vinyl lp 9.0 Long Tall Texans are fom the UK, Milwaukee Wild Men are from Holland and Washington Dead Cats are from France? This psychobilly act presentsa best of vinyl. The A side explores their early years1986-1991. All 8 tracksof this sideare original material, very fast and energy filled but you can smell a little Cramps every now and then. Songs like Whos behind the window, Pizza Attack and Crazy Voodoo Womanare just fantastic. They included saxophones and trumpets, just like Long Tall Texans and Demented are Go were doing back then. The B side contains tracks from 2001-2007. The voice reminded me of Jello Biafra and just like Dead Kennedys, WDC cover Viva Las Vegas. Call me crazy but I liked their older stuff better.

JUNGLE FEVER/JUNGLE FEVER vinyl lp 9.0 Primitive rock n roll and demonic twistobillyfrom Avignon, France. The artwork is impressive again, to say the least! Album covers were meant to be huge! The music is just frenetic, old rock n roll with surf elements and desperate French vociferations. Jungle Fever has some similar rythms to Mexican surf rock band Malibu Pina. I was captured by the intensity of tunes like Kremlin Attack Over the World, Shabidoowa, Lovely Red Rum and Syd Barret. Excellent release by Be Fast Labeland The Tout A fond association. Tre Bien mes amis! Ah, Good job guys!
