After visiting last night's Oldschool Rockabilly Psychosis it struck me again that (by far the most) women sport all sort of rockabilly fringes, ladyquiffs & beehive like cuts but that the flattop quiff has more or less disappeared in the women's ranks? I saw one last night and know of about three or four other girls who sport psychobilly flats.

Whatever happened to the old styles? Not fashionable enough? Not safe for work? Fringe looks better?

Just curious Smile

I think Some women can wear that cut, and it looks cute. I just think it's so unfemanine on some women, so it takes a certain kind of gal to wear it and make it look girlie. I could never get away with it, no way.

That's so funny reading the mans perspective versus what some women think. My friend dixie wears a flatop and she CAN wear it, it looks so cute on her. Sam's got a real short psycho do and looks cute on her too. Guess horses for courses and all that.

I was 'aquainted' with a girl from the Brighton area many, many years ago who had the BEST flat top ever, short, bleached & totally flat, complete with Doc Martens & a donkey jacket (the 80's.....I loved them).....funnily enough, she liked to munch the odd rug too Shocked Laughing .

I'll third that notion.
It works for some girls, but not for everyone.
But when you think about the girls who can pull off a quiff, or a chelsea, or a shaved head, it's those girls who are hot any way you cut them.

My ex husband (the frist one) used to beg me to do a psycho flat top, several times he pleaded. The best he ever got was when I would do a quiff, but then all the girls around there started doing them so then I stopped.
End of the day I like to have hair on my head. I think it's 'girlie' and I love it. Very Happy
