Before The Night
See It Out
Since We Found Out
Non Stop Loving
The Calling
Gunslinger Blues
Pissing In My Snakebite
Find My Way
Before The Night (accoustic)

Having recieved this in the post recently, i had the time to check it out on a very long boring car drive up to the middle of nowhere once again.
Having only heard one of their songs on myspace, i was ready with a very unbiased opinion to hear it and put up a review on here of this bands debut cd so here goes....

Before the night starts sounding like a very 'american' sounding psychobilly tune to me, with the vocal sounding a bit pissy, and i was ready to write it off but then the chorus kicks in and it started to grow on me,especially the backing vocal. some good playing on this song. took me a few listens tho.
see it out starts off and straight away i'm reminded of a group called the chinkees by the ska style of way of playing. not bad. slow bit, fast bit, slow bit. can picture this on a mountain bike video soundtrack tho for some reason Very Happy
since we found outdidnt do anything for me, but im sure anyone who enjoyed that green day song 'days of our life' would enjoy it as thats what it reminded me of.
thirteen cover of the Johnny Cash song. good powerful playing. works well. ive heard worse. good vocals.
non stop loving i like this song. can see this being a good live song.catchy, good lyrics, and the danzig 'twist of cain' end part is funny.
the calling reminds me of early sounding quakes crossed with D.O.A.
gunslinger blues not a fan of this song. lyrics seem a bit thrown around and mixed up.
pissing in my snakebite once again a ska sounding start to this song which seems to work well. can see this being a good drinking song in a club.good track this one.
find my way with an opening guitar piece that could be easily mistaken for the cramps poison ivy, i expected this to be good. it did nothing for me tho sadly.
then its finishing time with an accoustic version of the opener 'before the night'.

all in all i enjoyed this.good dubet for this three piece band.
maybe the odd one or two tracks i found a bit shitty and felt they were just filler but for me 'non stop lovin' and 'pissing in my snakebite' are great standout tracks. Do bands still release cd/vinyl singles and shit any more cos these would be fucking great together.
i'd certainly chek out this band live if they were playing close by.(and i believe they are touring with the rocketz at the mo)
check em out at....

cheers to DaveTDVD on here for sending it.

so i take it you are the boil and you must be the bag!
