Here's some good Memphis ones:

Hi-Tone: it's hipster homeland, but they have a good soundsystem and regular crowd. Bad ass national acts come through all the time, and you can charge a decent price at the door (15$)if you're international or a major act.

Buccaneer: Small, homey, FREE BEER. Bartenders kick ass: be prepared to run the house PA yourself, though. Ask for Charles; he'll treat you like a king. Lots of regulars, too. Everybody loves Psychobilly there.

Poplar Lounge: the only hardcore bar left in Memphis, Poplar lounge is home to a few crusty bikers, but if you can't draw on your own, expect crickets. The new management is good but the place had some bad press, so only the real hard asses hang there. Pa is better than you'd expect, but there's just a crusty old dude in a wheelchair for a sound guy. That is not a joke.

Murphy's: TINY, but you can rock that place off it's foundation. Sound guy is a douchebag; it may be worthwhile to bring your own PA if you're playing a weeknight. On a weekend though, there's a local boot crew down there that'll go apeshit for some good music.

Also, get in contact with Doc from Knights of Thor (USA, [901]553-5655). He'll drum up a crowd of metal heads and bikers, but if you play fast and hard you can make a little cash. Don't worry; his number is public record. He's got more purple hearts than teeth, and a metal plate in his head, so he's a hell of a lot of fun to talk to regardless.

Both venues I book at, so if you're ever in need of booking i work with a ton of bands and booking agents getting tours down here, we've done The Chop Tops, The Nekromantix, The Rocketz, The Howlers, The Cold Blue Rebels, Strikers, Vive Le Vox, Sawyer Family, The Independents, Joe Buck, The Psycho Devilles, Slip and the Spinouts, The Long Gone Daddys, The F'n A-Holes, and tons more!

Try Dante's or Duff's Garage. Don't really know how they are at handling the business stuff, but seen 'billy bands at both places. You on Facebook?

Shore Road Tavern is cool in Phili. small place but the staff are awesome and will hook bands up with amps if need be and let the bands sleep in the empty apartment above it. Again this place is small. but beer is cheap as hell.

Here in Nashville, Tennessee we have four venues that have been known to book the occasional -billy band that happens to wander through this way.

Mid-sized venues are:
Exit/In
Mercy Lounge

Smallish venues:
Foo bar
The End

Local bands that may be available for openers are:
Hillbilly Casino
The Hellfire Revival

This is the city where Th' Legendary Shack Shakers, Joe Buck and Los Straitjackets cut their teeth.
