Birmingham Academy & Academy 2. (pity they're being knocked down and re-located to The Dome)
Rock Cafe in Stourbridge. (Closed down)
Wolverhampton Civic and Wulfren halls.
The Irish Centre in Brum (where the Psycho bash was held)
But in my opinion, The Robin 2 in Bilston beats 'em all hands down, decent size stage,
nice acoustics, good bar prices (even the non-alcoholic drinks are reasonable),
a well lit car park right outside the entrance and a covered, heated outdoor smoking area.

These are all from the States, didn't think we needed a new thread maybe I'm wrong. Would not be the first time. 4th actually.
Studio 7 in Seattle Washington - it's a bit on the large side, and when the shows are all ages you're stuck upstairs if you want to drink. However if you're a touring band, and you can draw a large crowd you wont find a more professional venue to work with. Top notch in my book.
Dive Bar - Las Vegas Nevada - it is exactly what it is called, but the owner and staff treat the bands great. It's small, away from the strip, and very comfortable.
Maxwell's - Hoboken NJ, small room, perfect for touring psychobilly bands in the NY area. It's tough to pack a big room in NY metro, but it at least feels like a big room with a great stage and awesome sound system. Parking is tough, but once your in it's worth it. The guy who books here is an amazing guy, very professional, and honors his word.
Otto's - Manhattan (thats NY to you foreigners) - Otto's is fun, drink prices are decent for New york, be warned though, this joint is tiny. when it's full (and it doesn't take much) you can't move. Also if your in tha habit of not tipping bartenders, you can be in the habit of being thirsty too. They don't give a shit if your in the band either. It is a great place to play, and it generally packs on Fri/Sat night no matter who's playing. Probably because it's free. If you're in a bands and you're not well known, Otto's is a great place to play, because you'll most likely play to a packed house. But be on top of your shit, because there's virtually no sound system, just a crappy pa and maybe 2 microphones. Anyway, even though theres no cover, they do pay the bands, generally pretty well so long as the place is hopping.
Olde Town Tavern - Frederick Maryland - this place rocks, again you have to be willing to abandon your rock star attitude to play here. There's no stage, so your going old school if you play here. Anyway, I've got nothing negative to say about this place, it's an outstanding venue, and basically the club house for the Maryland Animal Control chapter. The people here will treat you as well as you deserve to be treated. If you act an ass, well, it's not recommended.
I'll post more tomorrow, but any touring bands coming through, these are great choices. Also, any visitors to these areas, these are all good venues to just check out good shows.
