Nigel Lewis And The Zorchmen – Ladies & Gentlemen Attention Please
I found this album by accident amazon
i'd not heard anything by nigel lewis in years so i thought i'd give it go
i paid £15 for this 2 cd album...
er...i'm really disappointed...it's not good at all...all the meteors songs are terrible versions and the newer stuff is lyrically terrible...
the only saving grace is it arrived this morning with my stampede,,in heaven,wreckin' crew and teenagers from outer space cd's so i'm not stuck listening to nigel in the car
i wouldn't advise anyone to buy this album... |

| I recently picked up this album too. Some of the stuff is ok, but he sounds really, REALLY old. There was a good amount of youthfulness in the writing of his Meteors, Escalators and Tallboys stuff. So this one came across as a bit of a shocker. And yes, some of the lyrics are awful, but i still can't get that opening song out of my head! |

hmm..i was toying with the idea of buying this off amazon myself, i got a track on a drunkabilly comp called "footsteps" and I like that track, prior to that the last thing by nigel lewis was the johnson family cd which I think is great..from what I've seen of his live performances on you tube - I reckon he still rocks and I'm looking forward to seeing em at bedlam  |

If some of the songs sound old, it's because they fuckin' are  , some of the stuff covered live was originally released in the 50's & even the early M3T3ORs stuff is nearly 30 years old now. |
