It's probably a good thing. Don't want those damn WASPs getting into it. |

There aren't a whole lot of people around NJ/NY/CT. I mean there are kinda, but everyones kinda spread. Theres the Midnight Monster Hop at Otto's in the city usually put on by Mike Decay or Mike Mortician. Theres a few people in Brooklyn. Theres also a few older psychos in manhatten ones a cool psycho broad from Spain. Theres also Asbury Lanes in Asbury Park NJ which hosts some decent shows that people from PA, NJ, and DE come out to. Phili's been kinda dieing, more greasers than psychos that way. The guys from TR6 are somewhere around supposedly theres a crew of older ex skin psychos up in Sussex county NJ that my friends know, but I haven't made a trip up that way to meet them yet. Theres also Dave from Sasquatch up your way. Closer to me I found two guys a couple years younger than me, but old enough to drink that I'm trying to get a band project together with and theres this guy Barry down I think in Monmouth County who I have yet to meet, but does podcast psychobilly online radio gig and other productions.
Wow and I always think theres nobody around. |

whoa whoa whoa buddies.
theres psychobilly up here. massachusetts has lots of bands that are psychobilly and horrorpunk as well.
the downright creepies are one. theyre quite nice.
we also have horror punk bands like the automatons.
and theres plenty of horror surf bands too like gein and and the grave robbers and ghouls night out.
check out all of them.
i myself booked the koffin kats show last feburary in worcester and it was a big success.
my small record label is trying its hardest to bring psychobilly up here.
so fellas and ladies, just you wait. |

I'm here in North Eastern PA during the school year, and down right outside of Philly during the summer. There's some psycho around, the Graveyard Rumblers are listed under the Bands tab. But not much really, unless you're willing to travel a bit. A lot of the usual hardcore, screamo BS. Not really New England, but I figured I'd throw that in anyway. East Coast is kinda sparse in comparison to West Coast and Europe. |

| i dont understand it. most bands from europe totally skip the east coast and go to the west when they have to go OVER the east coast to get there. the least they could do is stop. the koffin kats were going to do some shows with mad sin this summer and i got excited because mad sin and the koffin kats booking agent would let me have first dibs on putting on a show in my area, but theyre only playing the west coast now. god damn. |

You know what Amy, thats's really it here in the Tri-State. All the rich kiddies here are into the crap copycat pseudo "subculture" spewing from the region infecting shit. There's plenty of older people around, but we don't buy the stuff as much cause we tend to have it already. Also it's expensive as hell here. Most people I know are scraping by even with decent line of work.
I've finally come to the conclusion that those of us here that care enough will have to invest into a project so we can make money back from the crap copycat subcultures in the intrest of the real deal. Until then bands can't afford to touch NYC unless they are willing to take a gamble or a hit on the wallet. |

what pisses me off is that my big city (boston) will pay alot at merch tables.
even when bands come and ill get a free shirt or cd or whatever ill still shell out money for them cause i know it goes somewhere. last time the koffin kats came by vic victor gave me a free hoodie but i still bought all their cds.
i wish people didnt suck. |

if you really think bands should play in your area there is a solution
get yourself a pair of balls and try to book them when they tour
there are plenty of booking agents that you can contact to see about the rates bands charge and if you have the bollocks to do it other bands will follow
i know its a big country and you may not have a big scene in your loacality but if you were to make the effort to book the bands and advertise properly people will bother to travel to a well organised gig |
