It's what you would expect out of a new Silver Shine record but in a good way. It's not that they haven't made any progress with this CD more that they're aware of their strengths and are playing up to them; the trademark punk tinged psychobilly sound they've developed just pulls back from being 'punk with a double bass'.
As I said in another thread it's good to hear Krista on the microphone; her vocal is a little awkward at times but I'm always a sucker for vocalists whose first language isn't English. There's more harmonic backing on this CD but it's pretty rough rather than over-sweet or pop-punkish.
All in all probably better than No Mercy but I'm not sure it tops Don't Trust the Girl with the Chainsaw, but the latter has huge nostalgic value for me.
