How about some reviews of older releases, maybe so that some of the Psychobilly newbies can maybe go out & pick up some early stuff for their collections?.

This sounds like a fun idea, I would be up for doing a review of something.

I agree with Uana about giving some ideas so we don't have a million reviews of Wrecking Crew or something like that.

The Stray Cats - Built for Speed

Gave it a listen and I think the world is not yet ready for a rockabilly mainstream record,
Songs like Rock this Town , Straycat Strut and Rumble in Brighton are cute but too rockabilly for radio.

It will never sell.

Very Happy

Ok, so I've got the list.
I don't think we should ALL do the same reviews, so I'm thinking I'll send the list out, and it's on a first come basis as to who reviews what?

I've chosen three already that played a big part in my music and that I still listen to on an almost daily or weekly basis.

As they get picked I'll remove them off the list.

Any objections? This is because we don't want 6 reviews on 'In Heaven' and yes that's on the list.

So I'm sending out pm's this afternoon to folks John and I think would be good at some of the reviews. Very Happy

Slight change...I sent the list out.

I'm keeping track of who has picked what. There were a couple of people that chose 'Bail Set at 6,000' and I don't see a problem with that, as it would be nice to see more than one take.
Even if you see one that's already 'selected' ask anyway, cause may only be one person picked it.

I'm blabbing on a bit sorry. Laughing
