Hey there everyone,

My name is Chuckie and I live in Nashville, Tennessee. When I'm not busy bustin' up my leg, I like riding my motorbike, listening to music and chewing on my brain ... with my sweetie-pie, Minx. I like throwing rocks, MD 20/20 and pie.
Some of my favorite bands are: The Meteors, the Cramps, Frantic Flintstones, the Krewmen, Deadbolt and Southern Culture On The Skids ... always on the look-out for something new, but these bands I never get tired of. Started off listening to the Blasters, the Stray Cats and the Cramps back when I was in high school ... and that was about all there was. Joined the army after high school and was stationed in Berlin, Germany and discovered that there was such a thing as psychobilly ... been hooked ever since.
Being a bit of a Luddite, kind of had an on and off again relationship with these computin' puzzleboxes over the years. But I must admit ... they are wonderful things when it comes to finding and buying music these days. Kind of nice not having some shitty record store in your way anymore.

Hello Dan and Boozehound. Just sitting here at the house listening to music. This Sunday there's a show coming up. Koffin Kats with A Man Called Stu. Koffin Kats ain't really my thing, but would like to see A Man Called Stu. Played at Muddy Roots, but set got cut short due to a thunder storm rolling up and knocked the 'lectricity out.

Not much a fan of Koffin Kats either but they do put on a good show. Isn't A Man Called Stu one of the guys from Zombie Ghost Train? Not much a fan of them either but hadn't heard Stu at all.

Yep ... the Stu stuff is Faron Young, Hank Williams Sr covers and the like. Straight rockabilly, for the most part. Pretty good if you like that kind of stuff. We don't get a whole lot coming through Nashville, so If anyone plays and I'm not working, generally try to go see 'em. Never seen the Koffin Kats, have a couple of their albums when they first started, didn't quite do it for me. No twang and no billy to my ear. But it'll be good to get out of the house. Haven't heard anything that they've done lately, but I reckon their style probably hasn't changed much.
The Goddamned Gallows are playing sometime in the next couple of weeks ... and the Shack Shakers as well. They've been on a hiatus for the last couple of years while JD has been doing his Dirt Dauber thing. Will be good to see them play again.

Both bands are pretty amazing live, yes indeed.

As far as the Koffin Kats last Sunday ... Really went to see A Man Called Stu. But stuck around to hear 'em live, hell, give anyone a shot when performing live when I'm already there. Hmmm. I must say, they did even less for me in person, than what I've heard off their earlier recordings. About the third song in, they started playing 'Man Eater' by Hall & Oats ... and I left. The gals seemed to eat that shit up though. Dunno if that's the norm anywhere else.
