Ukrabilly Crew presents the biggest Psycho & Rockabilly music festival in the Eastern Europe
Ukrabilly Bang #8

In 2012 the festival will take place on April 28th, 29th and 30th at club "Bingo" (Kiev, Ukraine) and will have more than 20 great Psycho & Rockabilly bands from Ukraine and all over the World!

DEMENTED ARE GO! (UK, psychobilly)
28 years on stage, more than 15 albums, an infinite number of gigs all over the world... And now the greatest Rock’n’Roll monsters of our time are finally coming to Kiev! They've been announced to headline the 6th Bang in 2010, but suddenly broke up just before the festival... Now they are back up, going from strength to strength and working on a new album. So this time Demented are ready to hit the stage of the Ukrabilly Bang #8 and perform their ass-kicking show!

The Swampy's (Belgium, psychobilly)
The Swampy's are probably the most famous Belgians (after Manneken Pis and Tintin) and one of the brightest representatives of oldschool psychobilly . These guys have broken into the psycho scene at the end of the 80’s, released the powerful album and jumped in to the last part of the legendary compilation "Psycho Attack Over Europe". In the early 90's the band has toured a lot, but one day they suddenly broke up... And the same way they suddenly re-united after 20 years of silence, recorded a demo and played a couple of big festivals. The time has come for Kiev to see this great band!

WiseGuyz (Ukraine, authentic rockabilly)
WiseGuyz are the best Ukrainian rockabilly band. During their 12-years history guys won the hearts of many of Rock’n’Roll fans all over Ukraine and abroad, released 4 albums, filmed an outstanding video clip, toured across Spain, Poland and Germany, were signed by the big label El Toro... and this is just a small part not all the achievements of this wonderful band! Don't miss them live - this is always a great fun!

Mosquito (Russia, psychobilly)
Mosquito ara one of the coolest Russian psychobilly bands. They were formed in 1994 and they completely devoted themselves to the psycho-music: they wanted to "play faster than Meantraitors", "scare Mad Sin" and "outwit Krewmen". They've managed to do most of these things! At the end of the 90's the album "Mosquito Wants Your Blood" has been released and at the beginning of 2000's the band has called it a day. Now Mosquito reunited again to please their fans with old classics and some bloody fresh songs!

Spoilers (Russia, surf & billy)
Spolers are Yekatrinburg-based legends, founded as psychobilly outfit they gradually moved on to surf. They played more than 500 concerts all over Russia, their compositions were represented on many compilation albums in different countries.

Director Azovskogo Morya (Ukraine, rock&roll, rockabilly, jump-blues)
Band Director Azovskogo Morya is from small but glorious town of Krasnodon. Plays rock'n'roll since from year 2009. Pure east-southern rockabilly. Bordering jump-blues. Intelligent boogie. In hard conditions, in the atmosphere of complete ignorance the guys proudly and honestly carry their Rockabilly flag. Debut album has been recorded.

Lucky Bar (Ukraine, rockabilly)
Lucky Bar is a new name on the Kiev rockabilly scene. The band appeared at the end of 2010 and started active gigging in the capital and other cities. Initially playing mostly cover-versions on Rock'n'Roll and Rockabilly classic hits, guys are gradually adding more of their own material. Their progress is very impressive!

RESTLESS (UK, neo-rockabilly)
Restless are the kings of European neo-rockabilly and one of the most influential bands on the scene. The band was formed by Mark Harman in 1978 and from those days has issued more than 20 albums and toured across the whole globe. Their success was very fast – the very first album became bronze (more than 25000 copies were sold) and further the band only increased the pace. Nowadays Restless are playing not so many concerts and we have the unique opportunity to see living legends of Rockabilly for the first time in ex-USSR!

Pitmen (Germany, melodic psychobilly)
Pitmen are well known masters of melodic psychobilly. The band has started its career in 1995 and after only a year has presented its first single "Misfits. This disk as well as following 2 marvelous full-length albums were released on the "Crazy Love Records". On the edge of the centuries Pitmen toured extensively and appeared on many biggest 'billy festivals. In 2001 the last studio album has seen the light – 4-songs EP and in 2003 Pitmen has played their "last show". But after 5 years to the delight of numerous fans the band renewed their concert activity and now will visit Kiev for the first time ever!

The Magnetix (Russia, old school psychobilly)
The Magnetix are outstanding old-school psychobilly band which was formed by ex-members of the Stressor. New band quickly broke into the top of the European psychobilly scene. Debut album of the band was released at the beginning of 2011 and has made a sensation among all fans of the old-school psychobilly. After less than a year The Magnetix released their second album! They are often compared to Batmobile by their energy and charisma - don't miss their ass-kicking show!

Ruki'v Bryuki (Ukraine, rockabilly & swing)
Ruki'v Bryuki – is Kiev based band playing hot rockabilly. Being undisputed favorites of Rock'n'Roll fans in Ukraine, these guys tour a lot putting on a hell of a show. Despite their relatively young age as a band guys have managed to release 2 albums, shot video clip and become one of the best Ukrainian Rock'n'Roll bands.

Dillberriezz (Ukraine, psychobilly)
Dillberriezz are leading representatives of the new generation of Ukrainian psychobilly. The band was organized in the 2008 and immediately gained local following because of their charisma and great live performances. These guys are popular not only in their Motherland, but also in Russia and Belarus, where they play on a regular basis. At the end of 2010 they released their debut full-length album on Crazy Love Records.

Hot Dozzer (Ukraine, rockabilly)
Hot Dozzer is young rockabilly band from Zaporizhzhya. Guys have started with a great pace and at the moment they are touring a lot all over Ukraine. Recently they issued their debut album full dirty rockabilly sound, no sign of sweat sugar melodies at all. The album is recomended for all fans of authentic and wild rockabilly sound.

Strait Jacket (Ukraine, psychobilly)
Strait Jacket are psychobilly-trio from glorious city of Odessa. Guys play hard psycho in the best traditions of Brazilian school. However it doesn't sound like "metal or punk with doublebass", but rather like very individual view on rock'n'roll. Great material and arrangements along with high level of performance are unarguable strengths of the band.

THE MEANTRAITORS (Russia, psychobilly)
The Meantraitors are the legendary band, the godfathers of Russian psychobilly. The whole generation of local psychos has grown up under their influence, and a lot of bands has emerged inspired by them. Having started their way in 1989, Stas Bogorad and company are proudly carrying on the flag of Psychobilly music until this day. Always warmly welcomed and long awaited guests in Ukraine are going to play the Ukrabilly Bang for the first time!

Wild Wax Combo (Denmark, ultra rare garage rockabilly)
Wild Wax Combo is one of the oldest Danish rockabilly bands. The band was formed in 1996 and very soon has found its unique sound – Ultra Rare Garage Rockabilly. They’ve got 5 studio albums, the last one was released in 2010 – really cool LP "Lip Lickin' Lou". Wild Wax Combo has participated in many concerts and festivals all over the Europe and USA, including the world's biggest rock'n'roll festival - Rocking 50's Fest in Greenbay, USA. Live the band is brilliant and totally tears the place apart!

Ot Vinta (Ukraine, ukrabilly)
Ot Vinta – are the veterans of Ukrainian 'billy scene and the founders of the musical style called "ukrabilly". Starting from 1993 Ot Vinta have played hundreds of concerts across Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Germany, Slovakia and Netherlands, they released 5 albums and more than 10 video clips. Ot Vinta could be fairly considered the most "popular" band of our scene

Tomato Juice (Ukraine, psycho-country)
Tomato Juice is one more child of brilliant actor and musician Moses the Magnificent (Freno De Pedales). The band is plays interesting mix of country, psycho, rockabilly with loads of experiments. Along with the core line-up of the band (Moses - banjo, vox; Rebel - doublebass; Bohdan Ocheretyaniy - drums), especially for Ukrabilly Bang the new material is being wokred on with lots of guest musicians.

Mystification (Ukraine, psychobilly)
Mystification are one of the oldest psychobilly bands on Ukrainian scene. For a long time they were the only band in Ukraine playing psycho with bass-guitar sounding cool and uniquely. Mystification have toured to Poland and Russia, filmed video clip and released 2 albums. They are consistently introduce new songs for their devoted fans all over Ukraine.

Rocking Ham (Ukraine, rockabilly & swing)
Rocking Ham are the veterans of Ukrainian rockabilly scene. The band emerged at the end of the 90s and since then is playing their unique music for all those who are into the rockabilly way of life. Band's line-up has changed many times, sometimes the activity of the band stopped, but all the time they came back to the stage to give their western-swing & rockabilly to the people.

Hillbilly Kings (Ukraine, rockabilly)
Hillbilly Kings is the new project of Kirill Pogorelov and Philip Belyaev (ex-Mr.Och & His Root Boys, Hardbilly Buddies).

Dimitri, this seriously appears to be one of the best festivals around. Great write-ups and I hope to head over there sometime! Won't be able to this year, but I'm writing plans for number 9!!!!
