Psychobilly is a genre that I've gradually discovered the last year, and didn't really get hooked before last winter\spring.

Anywho, me and a few mates went to Copenhagen, Denmark to see Cock Sparrer, and Frenzy was supporting. Still to this day one of the cooler live-bands I've seen, and I dare say I've seen most "big\established" Punk and Metal bands around, at least the majority.

I bought the "Nitro Boy" CD but didn't give it a spin until this Summer and got immediately hooked to it ,still spinning it regurarely.

Got a hold of a couple of other older Frenzy CD's which is quite decent and got a few really great songs, but I think they're more uneven that the aforementioned "Nitro Boy", which has a more Psycho\Punk sound to it, compared to the more, (dare I say it...) more New Wave oriented 80's stuff. Harsh, I know, but I still like'em.

Anywho, their new album In The Blood arrived yesterday, and I've given it 5-6 spins, and I think it's a great album! The opening track "Time Machine" is my favourite right now.

In the tradition of "Nitro Boy", it continues the mix of Psychobilly, Neo-Rockabilly and Punk, with a very varied sound (positively varied, mind you).

Can't wait to see them again at Rebellion next year, and hopefully get a hold of the albums I haven't got yet.

Any thoughts on the new album, and\or the band in general?
I've noticed it's quite a "controversial" act within the scene, undeserved I say, but hey, I'm just a newb Razz

Excellent first album......down hill ever since......Didnt mind there new cd on first 2 or 3 listens but had it on the way down to Bedlam and i had to switch it off...it was really starting to grate on me.......But thats just my opinion, there are a lot of bands in the scene that i have a lot more time for and alot more respect for to boot...........But each to there own!!!!!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one Very Happy
Great band, and great album but still not as good as Nitro Boy I think.
Less Punk, more Rockabilly this time around though.

"Time Machine" just won't get out of my head.
