So come on then write a review someone!
John I know you were there I saw you and yer missus in photos on facebook! And a few of the other regulars from concert photos popped up, so someone must have been in a position to remember enough of the night to write it up on here!

O.k,o.k....we got in the venue about half way through the Coffin Nails set due to Jen & Andy being held up by travel issues , they had our tickets!, the Coffin Nails were on form, & Klunky had apparently spent the last week or so practicing how to play that guitar thing of his , good set lads!.
After a brief interlude.....Demented Are Go hit the stage and launched into a full on set of hard core Punkabilly (I hate that term), with Sparky all over the stage like a spastic having an epileptic fit!, he even fell over backwards...accidentally , they crack me up though...Stan,Ant & Grischa are about the smileyest band around & then you have Sparky ....who in finest (?) Sparky dropped his pants & showed us his leopard print skirt & dildo .... they went down a (Hellbilly) storm!!!!!.
Interlude time again....and then...The Guana Batz!, who played a fuckin' great set of OLD songs (time for a new release boys), even doing 'Rockin' in my coffin' as well as all the old floor fillers , there was an intense pit for these guys....lots of old,out of condition geezers pummeling youngsters around including that man mountain from Mad Sin!!!!.....AND KLUNKY GOT HIS NOSE BROKEN ,it was good to see so many turn out for this gig, the place was rammed!!!!!! good to see so many friends old & new too, Jen,Andy,Mick,Glenn,Sam,Katie,Stripe,Phil Turtle,Jo,Duaine & nameless people that have been nodding aquaintances for years, some since the original Klub Foot!!!!.
Only complaint...it was an early start & finish which meant a lot of people didn't go 'cause of work etc....the place was packed out just the same though. |

Thanks for the write up john! I could tell from the photos that everyone was having a good time, and the pit looked very dangerous, but pictures don't sing
Anyone else who was there fancy posting something up? |

Been checking out the photos on Myspace (nice one of John & Kerry in there). Looked like a great night, totally rammed.
The pit photos are great, post up those compared to pit shots from American shows and you can really see the big (old, chunky) difference between us and our Transatlantic cousins... |

Don't have access to Myspace at work, but I think it was either the Klubfoot page or Alcoholic Rats - she's compiled photo's from lots of people into two folders - the bands and the crowd. Infact mate, you might even have been smiling... |

I had a blindin time, too young to experience the original Klub Foot, but well chuffed to be able to experience it second time round. Wreckin with the old timers was a laugh, the maay be out of shape middle age men, but they had no problem chuckin me about! All the sets were really ood and played well, especially dementeds mongoloid! A great night all in all, i will moan about the early start and early fiish though. |

Right then.....reunion eh?, I was told yesterday that some people are slaggin' it off a bit because a lot of the people who attended were too young to have gone to the original Klub Foot!, but so what?, there are plenty of 'billies who are old enough to have gone, but didn't,.....all 3 bands that played on Friday night, played at the Klub Foot, so that in itself is a reunion of sorts, as is the fact that a lot of the older members of the audience went there...Kerry was talking to a woman who recognised me from there, after more than 20 years!.
Calling the gig 'Klub Foot reunion' was a very good marketing ploy by the promoter imo & it paid off because the place was packed out!. In reality there can never be a proper Klub Foot reunion 'cause The Clarendon no longer exists.... but a lot of the bands are still around & maybe if there's a reunion pt2 there'll be different bands playing it! & maybe the people slagging it off will go to that one instead....who knows?.
If people want to slag it off, fine....but the people who were there on Friday night had a fuckin' good time & at the end of the day, that's all that matters.
The Klub Foot is dead, Long live the Klub Foot. |

I knew this would happen(the slagging off of the younger generation). Its too be expected, but i was there wrecking, drinking and chatting to some of the older 'orignal' psychos, and they all seemed like ok fellas and obviously realised the importance of us youngsters, and were genuinly happy to have us there.
I know alot o the younger lot are just into the trend and fashion side of the scene, which does annoy me, as they have no idea about true billy music, wether it be rockin or psycho.
But there are a load of us love it just as much as the middle aged slaphead covered in tattoos.
Those of us born in the 80s
may of had parents that went to gigs and rocked giant quiffs and flat tops.
Or maybe even had relatives that helped make the scene as big as it is today.
my old man used to cut my hair on a sunday morning, whilst listening to in heaven, or the first Batmobile LP. and now i live breathe and shit psychobilly
IM RAMBLING NOW.
Moral of the story is, There are lots of the younger generation that have a mountain of respect for the 'old' lot, and know psychobilly isnt just a music, its a lifestyle. |

Well said guys! I don't see any point in slagging off the event or the young generation of psychos.
I wish I could be there and hopefully I will be on one of the subsequent KF reunion gigs |
