King Kurt.
what can yer say about em which hasnt already been said?
Released on cd for the first time, this was their debut long player from many moons ago. classic song after classic song, still heard to this day either live by the band, or by one fo the many djs playing sets between live bands.
This was, and is, more of a benny hill side of psychobilly. a softer jokey funny side, totally different from The Meteors full pelt and in yer face Pure Psychobilly way.

This cd was made for drunken hijinks in my opinion. a good cd for those wanting to start wrecking whilst too pissed to bearly stand.
Hearing the track ghost riders in the sky still to this day reminds me of an old mate graham, thowing up in the back of his brothers borrowed works transit van after downing quite a few bottles of red thunderbird on the way to the charlotte. Laughing

Most of the songs on this cd have been heard by nearly everyone i would imagine, ranging from the 'Um Bongo' imagine inspiring Zulu Beat and Destination Zululand to the covers of Johnny Burnette Trio and bobby Darin/Louis Armstrong. Lonesome Train, Mack The Knife

The dvd included with this digipack cd is very bloody good indeed.
Some of the stuff i had never seen before. the promo videos are in the same laugh out loud style of madness.
In fact YES....THATS IT!!! King Kurt are the psychobilly version of 'Madness'
I couldnt have summed it up better!
If you havent heard this album before or have never heard it at all...buy it,get yer mates round put it on yer cd player, turn it up loud, get the beers going down and have fun! Laughing

Its about bloody time this was finally available on cd and now it is..and available everywhere...even HMV!! Very Happy

Cheers to Roy and Jungle Records for sending this. Wink
